An old picture

This is an old picture I took at the Vietnam Memorial in DC a few years ago.
I really like this picture; I had it as my background on my computer for awhile, and I would look at it a lot.
One day I noticed something above the picture of the helmet.
Is this somehow a typo? Or are there 2 guys on the wall with the exact same name in the exact same location, even though names on the wall don’t appear to be listed in alphabetical order?

I guess not. Here’s what I tried to post first:
You’re right, it’s not in alphabetical order. The names are in order of their date and time of death. But it’s not a typo:
Larry Earl Smith and Larry Eldon Smith. They died at almost at the same time, but in different parts of Vietnam and by different causes.
