It is clearly spelled out on numerous Geocities T:NG FAQ pages that Mr. Worf is the Cheif of Security, not the Navigator, as you have foolishly implied. This means his main job is to drop his phaser when enemies transport directly on to the bridge. He has no more business setting courses than does DR.
