Wedding Colors (Karen’s First Post)
Feb 11th, 2003 by karen
Hi everyone!
What do you think my wedding colors should be?
I need some ideas. Click on ‘Comments’ below to give me some color combinations to think about. As you know, my favorite flower is the

And my favorite color is yellow.
We’re thinking of having the wedding at the end of summer or in the fall (2004). We want to go with either a summer motif (think: ocean breeze, seashells, weathered glass, message in a bottle, etc..) or a fall motif (think: pumpkins, sunflowers, and vibrant colors).

How ’bout a “return to school” theme?
- make a fake school: Conn K&N
- invitations look like class schedules
- use mint and yellow as school colors
and so on and so forth. Then you’ll have to make a fake rival school to crash your fake homecoming.
Why doesn’t the little Nate make you your own entire site? Like Walde has?
Maybe he likes Walde better.
Because Karen’s weblog wouldn’t have the same marketing blitz as Homer Vs. Kidd. Also, the wedding category is linked to our wedding page, so it’s convenient to just dump everything in here.

Hey girl….this is a great idea. First of all, as a sunflower admirer too. I think you can incorporate the yellows in the flowers. You could go with a yellow (butter dress) for the end of summer however it may make the girls look pasty. Check it out. Other colors I like for summertime/early fall are light blue (looks great with yellow flowers!). The fall is hard because traditionally the dress colors get darker. Maroon is a bold color with classic fall flowers too. I have to think more on that.
This is so exciting….. I’m going to keep my eyes/ears open for more ideas!! Good luck
WHAT? Did you just say “BUTTER DRESS”???!??!?!?
BUTTER DRESS BUTTER DRESS BUTTER DRESS BUTTER DRESS!
This is astonishing! It’s an even better idea than BUTTER CHAIR! This is going to the the butteriest wedding EVER!
Hykys,
I think that you should go with a short hot pink, yellow trim dress with orange knee high boots and electric blue fishnet stockings for your bridesmaids! That would look awesome for a fall wedding! And then you can put large sunflowers in each of the girls hair and wrap the stem down around the girls neck to double as a necklace/headpiece.
Now THAT’S funny.
