I told him that the hybrid is very quiet when it's running (obviously because it has a very small, super efficient engine). He proceeded to tell me that that was a safety hazard for animals and small children, because they EXPECT to hear a car when it is coming towards them. That particular argument made Walde completely explode, he turned purple, it was great. I could actually devote an entire webpage listing all of the pro-SUV arguments, that would make for some fine comedy.
