I’m going wireless

In a few hours, I should be receiving my last christmas present, my new Netgear MR814 wireless router.
I ran around with my laptop the other day, and found no signals, so I think I will have the first hotspot in my neighborhood. This also means I can FINALLY play on my computer while my fiancee types her papers for school.
The fact that there are 2 other people with wireless in my apartments has actually come in handy a few times: When our DSL is down (seems to happen randomly for a few hours once a month) I just switch over to one of the others! Thanks, “linksys”!
Maybe I should get rid of the encryption and password on my network so they can do the same if their cable modem or whatever is down.
