crap crap

A few years ago I bought an HP1100 LaserJet printer (back when I was a company). After about a year I noticed that the feeding mechanism started to fail; when you fed it a stack of paper it would literally try to suck the entire stack of paper in at once, making the printer shoot out flames and smoke..
Anyway a few months after that I get a letter from HP saying that they had just settled a GIGANTIC class action lawsuit involving people who bought this brand of printer who experienced the exact same problem I had. The resulting settlement (when it all boiled down) was that I was supposed to get a $20 rebate off of a new HP printer. Fucking Fantastic. I submitted the brick of paperwork, and 5 months later I got the pre-rebate requirements (which were conspicuously missing from the original paperwork). Basically it says that in order to get the rebate I need to order from HP directly. This is the stupidist thing ever.
Here’s a price comparison of the printer I want.. the closest store to me that sells the printer VS HP-Online:
Sams Club Price – > $264.87
HP Store Price – > $299.99 – $20 rebate = $279.99
Why does anyone ever bother to fight big companies? What exactly is the point? Always screwing, never helping.

If you are having such problem with HP, maybe it’s time to change to other brands of printers.

Yeah so if anyone wants a 20$ rebate thing for an HP printer, you are more than welcome to have it. Although I don’t exactly know why you would want it.
