We may go see this one early next week:
this

It looks like it’s in walking distance to where they have the buick open (formerly GHO) every year. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Not quite what we’re looking for (ie. not a colonial), but we’re trying to keep an open mind.

This weekend we move. We’re probably 75% done at this point, with only big stuff left to move.

I added a new category: House Hunt.
I don’t think this needs much explanation.

This weekend, we’re going to see this:
Old House in Wethersfield
I’m a sucker for older houses. With leaky roofs, low amp electrical systems, dirt basement floors, ghosts, and hay insulation that predates modern humanity, how can you go wrong? This one actually seems to be in pretty good condition.

Last week I had my vacation, and one of my goals was to head to the casino and play Match Game.

There’s nothing particularly interesting about this game, it’s just another stupid time wasting slot machine based on the classic 70’s gameshow. I’m not sure why I like the original game show (or the nickle slot of the same namesake). Maybe it’s watching Richard Dawson smoke his brains out on national TV. Maybe it’s Charles Nelson Reilly parading around in a feather boa long before gay was sheik, and 99% of america probably just assuming “he was joking”. Maybe it’s that awful 6 foot long microphone that Gene Rayburn would lug around. Rayon, polyester, massive hair, huge ties, the 70’s were just so much cooler….

I smuggled out some pictures of me winning. Here’s my buddy Gene Rayburn, about to fork over some dough.
Gene Rayburn

And here’s Charles Nelson Reilly handing me an easy bonus round win.

In the end, Match Game robbed me of about 70 bucks. I think I’ll stick to watching it on the GameShow network. Besides, the slot machine doesn’t even have Richard Dawson. That’s just stupid.
